These Fried Apple or Peach Pies are a delightful treat, perfect for enjoying warm with a crispy exterior and sweet, fruity filling. They’re sure to be a hit at any gathering or as a special dessert for your family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (21 oz each) peach pie filling
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated pie crust
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Allow refrigerated pie crusts to come to room temperature as you prepare the filling.
  2. In a shallow bowl, empty the peach pie filling cans. Dice the peaches using a fork and knife into small pieces. Add cinnamon and mix until blended. Set aside.
  3. Unroll the pie crusts and use a 4-inch biscuit cutter to cut out 6 circles from each crust. Re-roll the scraps as needed to get the 6th circle.
  4. Using a 1 tbsp cookie scoop, place peach pie filling into the center of each pie crust circle. Fold in half and pinch edges completely. Fold pinched edges over and press with a fork to seal. Poke each hand pie with a fork once to prevent bursting.
  5. Beat egg white in a small bowl until frothy. Brush over the tops of each hand pie.
  6. Bake on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet (1 inch apart) for about 15 minutes, until browned.
  7. While pies are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Remove cooked pies from baking sheet and dip them, while warm, into the glaze, coating completely. Use two forks to flip and remove carefully. Return to parchment paper and allow to set for about 5 minutes.
