Ingredients
Scale
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
2 (1-ounce) envelopes ranch dressing mix
1⅔ cups olive oil
1 (16 oz.) package of saltine crackers (4 sleeves)
Instructions
Use a large ziplock bag (at least 1 gallon or more; a 2-gallon bag is ideal for a doubled recipe).
In the bag, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, ranch dressing mix, and crushed red pepper flakes. Seal the bag and shake it well, kneading with your hands to mix the oil and spices thoroughly.
Place all the saltine crackers into the bag.
Seal the bag again and gently turn it over and over to coat the crackers with the spice mixture. The more you shake, the better the coverage.
Allow the bag to sit for at least 12 hours, turning occasionally. (Overnight is ideal.)
