Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, fresh lemon juice, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, turning to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 24 hours for best flavor).
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade, discarding any excess marinade.
  5. Grill chicken for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until juices run clear and chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes. Slice if desired.
  7. Garnish with lemon wedges and chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy your Simple Lemon Herb Chicken!
