Savory Steak Diane features tender beef steaks cooked to perfection and topped with a rich, creamy sauce made from heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. This dish is elevated with the flavors of garlic and shallots, making it a delightful meal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks (1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Generously season the beef steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, sauté the shallot and garlic until softened, about 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the steaks are heated through and coated in the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
