  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Season pork chops with salt and pepper, then sear in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  5. Transfer the seared pork chops to the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush each pork chop generously with the prepared glaze.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. During baking, baste the pork chops with the remaining glaze every 5-7 minutes.
  9. Once done, let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
