Ingredients
Scale
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon onion salt
1 1/2 pound ground beef chuck
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
4 hamburger buns
8 slices American cheese
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
Instructions
Divide the ground beef chuck into 8 equal balls.
In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, onion salt, and garlic salt.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
Brush the garlic butter onto the hamburger buns and toast them on a skillet until golden brown. Set aside.
Brush a small amount of garlic butter on each ground beef ball, then sprinkle with the prepared seasoning. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the beef balls on the hot surface. Use a spatula to press each ball into a thin patty. Season with the remaining salt mixture.
Once the burgers are cooked on one side, flip them over and place a slice of American cheese on each patty.
Stack one patty on top of another to create double layers. Place the stacked patties on the toasted buns. Dress the burgers as desired and serve hot.
