  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 Romaine lettuce heart (about 2 cups chopped)
  • 4 oz thinly sliced provolone cheese
  • 4 oz sliced Genoa salami
  • 2 oz thinly sliced Black Forest ham
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup sliced jarred banana peppers
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Split hoagie rolls and hollow out the insides, leaving a 1/2-inch shell.
  2. On a large cutting board, layer lettuce, Black Forest ham, Genoa salami, provolone cheese, tomato, red onion, and banana peppers.
  3. Chop the layered ingredients until evenly combined.
  4. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, and black pepper. Pour over the chopped mixture and toss until well coated.
