4 hot dog buns
1 tbsp olive oil
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
200g thinly sliced beef (such as ribeye or sirloin)
4 slices provolone cheese
4 hot dog sausages
1 onion, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Ketchup and mustard, for topping (optional)
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add the thinly sliced onion and green bell pepper. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add the thinly sliced beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the beef until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir the cooked vegetables and beef together.
Grill or heat the hot dog sausages until heated through.
Place each sausage in a hot dog bun. Divide the beef and vegetable mixture evenly among the hot dog buns, placing it on top of each sausage. Top each hot dog with a slice of provolone cheese.
Optionally, top with ketchup and mustard according to taste.
