Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 25g roasted cashews
  • 300g beef steak, cut into thin strips
  • 3 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 300g broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sherry, sugar, and 2 tbsp of water until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Heat sunflower oil in a large frying pan or wok over high heat. Add thinly sliced red onion and beef strips. Stir-fry quickly until the beef is lightly browned. Remove beef and onion from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add broccoli florets and roasted cashews. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
  4. Pour the prepared soy mixture over the broccoli and cashews. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes or until broccoli is just tender.
  5. Return the cooked beef and onion to the pan. Stir briefly to heat through. Serve immediately, accompanied by noodles or rice.
