Ingredients
Scale
1/4 cup honey
4 boneless chicken thighs, cut into strips
3 cloves garlic, cut
1/3 cup chicken broth
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cornstarch plus 1 tsp
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp chili flakes
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
In a bowl, mix chicken strips with salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch until evenly coated.
In a separate bowl, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour the honey mixture into the skillet with the chicken. Allow to simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in chili flakes and parsley. Serve the chicken and sauce over rice.
