1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 large eggs
1 to 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 small yellow onion, grated
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pasta sauce
1/2 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, dried basil, dried thyme, dried oregano, eggs, minced garlic, grated onion, salt, pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Avoid over-mixing.
Place the mixture into the greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Top with pasta sauce.
Place the loaf pan on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven, drain any grease, and sprinkle the top with shredded cheese.
Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
