Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken thighs with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs, skin-side down, and sear until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and sear the other side for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. Drain most of the fat from the skillet, leaving about 1 tablespoon.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Bring sauce to a simmer and let it thicken slightly, then return chicken to skillet, skin-side up.
  7. Transfer skillet to preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is thoroughly cooked and sauce has caramelized on the skin.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
