  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 rolls of crescent dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, crumble and brown the sausage until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the cream cheese to the cooked sausage and stir until fully melted and blended. Remove from heat.
  4. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Unroll one can of crescent dough and place it evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Stretch the dough to fit if needed.
  6. Spoon the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough layer.
  7. Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it over the sausage mixture. Press the edges to seal.
  8. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the top layer of crescent dough is lightly browned.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
