These Crack Chicken Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring tender shredded chicken mixed with creamy cheese, crispy bacon, and flavorful seasonings, all nestled between soft Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for gatherings or a cozy family dinner.

  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh chives
  • 12 ounces cooked, crumbled bacon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 ½ cups mild shredded cheddar cheese (divided into 1 cup and 1 ½ cups)
  • 1 ounce packet dry ranch dressing mix
  • 6 tablespoons salted sweet cream butter (melted)
  • 16 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ⅓ cup thinly sliced green onion
  • 12 count package sweet Hawaiian Rolls (sliced in half)
  • 2 ½ cups cooked, shredded boneless, skinless chicken breast

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large stockpot over medium heat, melt cream cheese, stirring often until smooth.
  3. Sprinkle in ranch mix, onion powder, and cracked black pepper. Stir well, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in green onions, shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese until well combined.
  5. Arrange the bottom halves of Hawaiian rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Spread chicken mixture evenly over the bottom rolls.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese evenly over the chicken mixture.
  8. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese layer. Brush melted butter over the tops.
  9. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and chopped chives over the buttered rolls.
  10. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before cutting into individual servings.
