Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for coating)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a doughnut pan.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fill each doughnut mold about three-quarters full with the batter.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the doughnuts comes out clean. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
Brush each doughnut with melted butter and then dip into the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
