1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 ½ cups vegetable broth
2 cups onions, chopped small
1 cup pepper jack cheese, grated
¼ cup butter
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
5 lbs Russet potatoes, sliced 1/8" thick
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp pepper
¼ cup flour
3 cups cheddar cheese, grated
8 oz sour cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with non-stick spray.
Peel and slice the potatoes into ⅛" thick pieces and place them in water.
Melt butter in a frying pan, add onions and garlic, and sauté until soft.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic, stir, and slowly add vegetable broth and heavy cream. Add seasonings and cheese until melted.
Layer ⅓ of the potatoes, sour cream, cheese sauce, Parmesan, pepper jack, and cheddar in the baking dish.
Repeat layers two more times, ending with cheddar on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 1½ – 2 hours until potatoes are tender.
Remove foil 15-20 minutes before done to brown the cheese.
