Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 bag Heath toffee bits
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 10 cups mini pretzel twists
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and lightly grease a large roasting pan. Add the pretzels to the pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, cubed butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla extract and baking soda.
  3. Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the pretzels in the roasting pan. Sprinkle half of the toffee bits over the pretzels and toss to coat.
  4. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
  5. Spread the pretzels onto a wax paper-lined countertop and sprinkle with remaining toffee bits. Allow to cool and harden for about 1 hour before breaking into clusters.
