Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup mashed bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the mashed bananas and sour cream until well combined.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and continue beating until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients with the butter mixture. Fold in the banana and sour cream mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in the mini chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, if desired.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
