  • 1 pound raw jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, and thawed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, minced
  • Parmesan cheese, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat 1/4 cup of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in white wine and add the juice and zest of 1 lemon. Stir well to combine.
  5. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes for a hint of heat.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and add salted butter. Stir until melted and thoroughly combined.
  7. Garnish with minced fresh parsley and optionally sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
