Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound loaf of bread dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey (for glazing)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the bread dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with half of the melted butter, then evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
  4. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log, pinching the edges to seal. Place the log in the prepared loaf pan, tucking the ends under to fit.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the loaf is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  6. Warm the honey slightly and brush it over the warm bread. Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
