Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients needed for the cake mix (usually eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake as directed, typically 25-30 minutes.
  3. Once baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce. Pour this mixture over the cake, making sure it fills the holes and spreads evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips evenly over the cake. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Once chilled, spread the whipped topping over the cake. Drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with more chopped pecans.
  7. Slice into squares and enjoy your delicious Caramel Turtle Poke Cake!
