Monte Cristo Sliders are a delightful combination of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese layered between sweet Hawaiian rolls, brushed with a buttery egg mixture and baked to perfection. Topped with powdered sugar and served with a side of jam, these sliders make for a perfect sweet and savory treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 egg
  • 12 slices deli-sliced ham
  • ⅓ cup salted butter, melted
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices deli-sliced swiss cheese
  • 12 slices deli-sliced turkey
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Optional dip: raspberry or strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 °F (177 °C). Spray a 9X13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Without separating the rolls, slice the entire package in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Place half of the cheese slices on the rolls, followed by all of the ham, then all of the turkey, and finish with the remaining cheese slices. Top with the top halves of the rolls.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and pepper. Brush this mixture evenly over the sliders.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted. If the buns start to brown too much, cover them loosely with tented foil to prevent sticking.
  6. Sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar and serve with raspberry or strawberry jam on the side if desired.
