Ingredients
Scale
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp ginger, minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
2 green onions, chopped
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Cooked white rice
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced ginger, black pepper, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the marinade is well mixed.
Place the thinly sliced beef in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for better flavor.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef slices and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until the beef is browned and cooked through. Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the onion is softened and slightly caramelized.
Transfer the cooked beef and onions to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with cooked white rice on the side.
