  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the thawed spinach, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream. Add the hot pepper sauce if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the beef and spinach mixture into a 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole stand for a few minutes before serving.
