This Easy Biscotti recipe yields deliciously crunchy biscuits that are perfect for dipping in coffee or tea. With a simple mix of flour, sugars, and eggs, these treats are easy to make and can be customized with chocolate drizzle for added indulgence.

  • 100g caster sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 300g plain flour
  • 80g vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50g light brown soft sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • Melted milk or dark chocolate for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine plain flour, caster sugar, light brown soft sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Mix in vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
  4. Shape the dough into a log and place it on the prepared baking tray. Bake for 25-30 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Cool slightly, then slice the log into biscuits. Place them back on the tray and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden and crisp.
  6. Once cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate for extra indulgence.
