Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Your favorite dipping sauces (ranch, barbecue, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into nugget-sized pieces, about 1 to 1.5 inches each.
  2. In one shallow dish, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In a second dish, beat the eggs with the water. In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and roll it in the breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken nuggets in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the nuggets with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
