Cheeseburger Pie is a savory and satisfying dish that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger in a delicious pie format. With a hearty ground beef filling, layers of melted cheddar cheese, and a fluffy Bisquick topping, this recipe is perfect for a family dinner or a casual gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ cup Bisquick
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray an 8-inch pie pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with diced onion, salt, pepper, and onion powder over medium heat until the beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Spread half of the cooked beef mixture in the bottom of the prepared pie pan. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef. Layer the remaining beef mixture on top, followed by the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Bisquick, and garlic salt until smooth with a few small lumps.
  5. Pour the Bisquick mixture evenly over the meat and cheese layers. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
  6. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
