Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings are a delightful dessert featuring tender apple wedges wrapped in crescent roll dough, baked to golden perfection, and topped with a sweet buttery sauce and a splash of Mountain Dew for a fizzy twist. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 oz) can Mountain Dew

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Peel, core, and cut each apple into 8 wedges.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place an apple wedge at the wide end of each triangle and roll up, covering the apple. Arrange the rolled dumplings in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Evenly pour the butter and sugar mixture over the apple dumplings in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the Mountain Dew around the edges of the baking dish, avoiding direct contact with the tops of the dumplings.
  7. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon evenly over the top of the dumplings.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.
  9. Let the dumplings cool slightly before serving.
