Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • ½ 8 oz can Rotel, drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with nonstick spray or parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef until fully cooked. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in chili powder, salt, pepper, cumin, onion powder, dried oregano, and paprika. Add drained Rotel and cook for 3-4 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  4. On a flat surface, roll out puff pastry into an 18-inch rectangle.
  5. Spread cooked beef mixture evenly over puff pastry and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Starting from the long edge, tightly roll up the pastry and pinch the edge to seal. Slice into 1-inch pieces using a serrated knife.
  7. Place pinwheel slices on prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart, and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with optional garnishes such as lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, green onions, and cilantro.
