Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs chicken wings, split at the joint and tips removed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Caribbean jerk seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss chicken wings with olive oil, Caribbean jerk seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Bake for 35-40 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
  4. While the wings are baking, combine barbecue sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey, and hot sauce (if using) in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce is well blended and slightly thickened.
  5. Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce over the wings and toss until they are well coated.
  6. Place the wings on a serving platter. Garnish with lime wedges and chopped cilantro.
