1 ½ cups finely shredded mozzarella cheese
1 egg
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup parmesan cheese
3 tsp minced garlic
23 oz Prego Marinara Sauce
24 Barilla Jumbo Shells
2 cups ricotta cheese
½ teaspoon pepper
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Boil pasta shells in salted water until al dente, about 9 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9x13x3 inch pan with nonstick spray. Spread 1½ cups marinara sauce evenly in the pan.
Combine ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Transfer mixture to a Ziploc bag or pastry bag.
Pipe ricotta mixture generously into each shell. Arrange filled shells in the baking dish.
Top shells with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Cover dish with foil and bake on the bottom rack for 20 minutes until bubbling.
Remove foil, move to the top rack, and broil at 450°F (230°C) for 5-7 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
Garnish with parsley and additional parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
