Ingredients

Scale
  • 400ml milk
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 200g grated cheddar cheese
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 400ml beef stock
  • 400g pasta (such as penne or fusilli)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion is softened and the garlic is fragrant.
  3. Stir in the pasta, beef stock, milk, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Stir in the grated cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
