Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Angus steak, cubed
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup red and green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 tsp jerk seasoning
  • 1 tsp Creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ⅛ tsp honey
  • Yellow rice, prepared according to package instructions

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the steak cubes and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  2. Season the shrimp with jerk and Creole seasoning. Ensure the shrimp are dry by patting them with a paper towel. In the same pan, add butter and cook the shrimp for 1 minute on each side, or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add the sliced bell peppers to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly charred.
  4. Return the steak and shrimp to the pan with the bell peppers. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, stir in the honey, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve the jerk steak and shrimp mixture over a bed of prepared yellow rice.
