Jalapeno Poppers are a delicious and spicy appetizer featuring jalapeno peppers stuffed with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with crispy Panko bread crumbs. Perfect for parties or gatherings, these poppers offer a delightful combination of flavors and textures.

  • 12 jalapeno peppers
  • 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar (shredded)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chives (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Panko bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wearing gloves, slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and chopped chives.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix Panko bread crumbs with melted butter.
  5. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture and top with the Panko bread crumb mixture.
  6. Place the stuffed jalapenos on a baking pan and bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.
  7. Let the poppers cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
