Ingredients
Scale
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
Cut each mozzarella cheese stick in half to create 24 pieces.
In one shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip the floured cheese sticks into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Roll the egg-coated sticks in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to help the crumbs adhere.
Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line another baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the frozen mozzarella sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Serve the cheese sticks immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
