  • 2 teaspoons grated garlic
  • 12 Italian-style meatballs
  • 12 count package bakery-style dinner rolls
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 8 ounces block whole milk mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking pan with olive oil cooking spray.
  2. Mix melted butter, grated garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.

  5. Spoon 1-1½ tablespoons of marinara sauce into each well, reserving some for later.
  6. Place a meatball into each sauce-filled roll and top with remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella evenly over the meatballs and rolls.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
