Ingredients
Scale
1/2 tsp oregano
1 link of kielbasa or smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
3 cups cabbage, cut into thin strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp seafood seasoning
5 slices of bacon, chopped
3 cloves minced garlic
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup yellow onions, chopped
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
pinch of crushed red pepper, optional
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
10–12 shrimp, tails off and deveined
Instructions
In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil and seafood seasoning. Set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and leave the grease in the pan.
Add the sausage slices to the skillet and brown them on each side. Once browned, remove the sausage and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and form a 'C' shape. Remove the shrimp and set them aside.
Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Stir in the chopped onions, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until the onions soften. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add another tablespoon of butter and the apple cider vinegar to the skillet. Once the butter has melted, add the cabbage and toss it well to coat with the seasonings. Cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
Stir in the cooked bacon, shrimp, and sausage. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through. Serve hot.
