  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 8 ounces baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ green bell pepper, chopped
  • ⅓ cup pepperoni slices
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, brown the ground Italian sausage. Once cooked, remove it from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender. Then, stir in the chopped bell pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet. Pour in the pizza sauce and mix everything together.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the mixture. Arrange the pepperoni slices and black olives on top.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
