Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce (shredded)
  • 4 tostadas (or 2 cups tortilla chips)
  • 5 large flour tortillas
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 cup tomatoes (diced)
  • ⅔ cup sour cream
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 2 cups Mexican cheese blend (shredded)
  • ⅔ cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in ⅓ cup of water and taco seasoning. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  2. Cut one of the flour tortillas into quarters. Round the corners using a knife or kitchen scissors. Warm the remaining four tortillas on a plate covered with a damp paper towel in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Place ¼ cup of seasoned ground beef in the center of each warm tortilla. Top with nacho cheese sauce. Add a tostada shell (or tortilla chips), followed by a layer of sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and Mexican cheese blend. Position the quartered tortilla in the center, then fold the edges of the larger tortilla around the filling to create a sealed wrap.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the folded tortillas seam side down in batches and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Serve the Crunchwraps hot, straight from the skillet.
