These Cheesy Bacon Fried Pickles are a delightful snack or appetizer that combines crispy fried pickles with a savory filling of cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. Perfect for impressing guests at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 jar (16 oz) dill pickle spears, drained and patted dry
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying
  • Ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions

  1. Lay out the pickle spears on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, combine the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Place a spoonful of the bacon and cheese mixture onto each pickle spear and wrap tightly.
  4. Prepare three separate bowls for breading: one with flour seasoned with paprika, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  5. Roll each bacon and cheese-wrapped pickle first in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Fry the breaded pickles in batches, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  8. Remove the fried pickles with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve the Cheesy Bacon Fried Pickles hot with ranch dressing for dipping.
