Cheesesteak Eggrolls are a delicious fusion of classic cheesesteak flavors wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers. Perfect as an appetizer or snack, these eggrolls are filled with savory minced meat, melted American cheese, and sautéed vegetables, making them a crowd-pleaser at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slices of American cheese
  • 1 pound minced meat
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 24 egg roll wrappers
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced meat and cook until browned and pea-sized, about 5-7 minutes. Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently, then remove the beef mixture from the skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the chopped onions and green peppers. Cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Return the beef mixture to the skillet and stir to combine. Let the filling cool slightly.
  3. Lay out the egg roll wrappers on a flat surface. Place half a slice of American cheese on each wrapper. Add 3 tablespoons of the beef and vegetable filling on top of the cheese. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly, sealing the edges with a little water.
  4. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Fry the egg rolls in batches of 3-4 at a time, until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  5. Enjoy your Cheesesteak Eggrolls hot and crispy!
