Ingredients
Scale
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
Ground black pepper, to taste
2 large eggs
Garlic powder, to taste (optional)
½ cup Original Bisquick mix
1 pound ground beef
1 cup whole milk
1 large onion, chopped
½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease a 9-inch glass pie plate with vegetable oil.
In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat, add the chopped onion, and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with salt, black pepper, and optional garlic powder.
Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in the greased pie plate and sprinkle the grated Cheddar cheese over the beef.
In a small bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until well combined, then pour this mixture over the beef and cheese layers in the pie plate.
Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
