Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently with a spatula until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe the batter evenly into the donut wells.
  6. Bake for 10-13 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 10 minutes before releasing them.
  7. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and oil. Microwave until melted and smooth.
  8. Dip each donut into the chocolate glaze and add sprinkles if desired. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
