Ingredients
Scale
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon hot sauce
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon salt
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
Oil for frying
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the buttermilk and hot sauce. Add the chicken pieces, toss to coat, cover, and marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, whisk the eggs.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk mixture and dredge each piece in the flour mixture. Dip it in the eggs, then return to the flour mixture for a second coating.
Fry the chicken pieces in batches for about 3-4 minutes per batch or until golden brown and fully cooked. Drain on paper towels.
