These Oven Fried Feta Rolls are a delightful appetizer featuring crispy phyllo dough filled with a savory mixture of feta cheese, fresh dill, and garlic. Paired with a sweet and spicy chili honey sauce, they are perfect for entertaining or as a tasty snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 18 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, chopped dill, and grated garlic. Set aside.
  3. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface, fold it in half, and brush the edges with olive oil. Spoon a portion of the feta mixture onto one end of the dough. Roll the dough tightly, tucking in the sides as you go. Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this process for all rolls.
  4. Brush the rolls with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter with olive oil, chili flakes, and cumin seeds until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the honey until well combined.
  6. Serve the warm feta rolls with the chili honey sauce for dipping.
