  • 24 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 10.5 oz peeled and deveined shrimp, thawed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • Optional: fresh chopped parsley and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and shrimp. Cook until shrimp is pink and opaque on both sides. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. To the same skillet, add Italian seasoning and stir. Pour in heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes to thicken.
  4. Add cooked tortellini to the skillet, stirring well. Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese over the mixture and stir until melted.
  5. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet and stir to combine. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices if desired.
  6. Serve immediately.
