Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the pot with the ground beef. Cook until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then, add the uncooked elbow macaroni to the pot. Stir well to combine.
  5. Continue to simmer for another 20 minutes or until pasta is tender. Remove bay leaves and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, optionally topped with shredded cheddar cheese for extra richness.
