  • 4 pounds baby back beef ribs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the ribs and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  3. In a bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder; rub this seasoning into the ribs and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours.
  5. In the last few minutes of baking, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining minced garlic, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt.
  6. Remove the foil from the ribs and apply the barbecue sauce mixture generously on top.
  7. Increase the oven temperature to 460°F (240°C) and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes; then broil for about 3 minutes until edges are slightly charred.
  8. Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
