- 200g spaghetti
- 500g ground beef
- 1 medium white onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 6 crusty white rolls
- 240ml beef stock
- 500g tomato passata
- 100g butter
- 200g mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil
- Fresh parsley
- Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 80ml apple vinegar
- ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- 30g parmesan for butter
- 3 garlic cloves, made into paste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until golden brown. Stir in minced garlic and ground beef; brown completely.
- Deglaze the pan with apple vinegar, then add tomato passata, beef stock, chopped basil, oregano, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for about 25 minutes until thickened.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut tops off rolls and hollow them out. Mix melted butter with garlic paste and parsley; brush inside and outside of rolls.
- Boil water in a pot; cook spaghetti until al dente. Toss with the meat sauce.
- Fill each roll with spaghetti mixture and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until bread is crisp and cheese is melted.
