Ingredients

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
  • 8 pre-cooked breakfast sausage links
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter (for frying)
  • Maple syrup or powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Flatten bread slices using a rolling pin.
  2. Place a sausage link on one edge and roll tightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  4. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture.
  5. Cook in buttered skillet over medium heat until golden brown on all sides (about 3–4 minutes per side).
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup or powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Best with pre-cooked sausage.
  • Don’t skip flattening the bread — it helps seal the roll.
  • Great for freezing and reheating later.
