- 8 slices white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
- 8 pre-cooked breakfast sausage links
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp butter (for frying)
- Maple syrup or powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Flatten bread slices using a rolling pin.
- Place a sausage link on one edge and roll tightly.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture.
- Cook in buttered skillet over medium heat until golden brown on all sides (about 3–4 minutes per side).
- Serve warm with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
Notes
- Best with pre-cooked sausage.
- Don’t skip flattening the bread — it helps seal the roll.
- Great for freezing and reheating later.
